TechTrends is a survey that aims to find out what marketing tools the agencies have been using in the last year. In our third edition, we seek to make a comparison with the previous data.
The construction of this questionnaire started by compiling a list of tools in the following categories:
- Digital marketing
- Communication / Help Desk
- ERP / BI / Project Management
- For Developers
- Collaboration / Productivity Suites
The survey was conducted online from February 28 to March 21, 2018, interviewing 428 agencies from all over London.
Data from the profiles of the agencies interviewed will be presented, tools most used by them; most agencies (98.8%) are users of digital marketing tools. Profile of the analyzed agencies:
The profile of the analyzed agencies was mostly composed of Digital Marketing Agencies. If compared to Techtrends 2017, which had 37.4% of branches in the same branch, there was an increase of 4.4%.
Average Tools by Agency Size
We can see that the difference in the average use of tools by agencies in relation to size is not significant. The size of the agency does not interfere so much, accessibility to marketing tools is relatively equal for all.
Most Adopted Automation Tools
During the last Techtrends, the RD Station platform grew exponentially, going from 49.6% in 2016 to 55.3% in 2017 and, finally, to the value described above. It can also be seen that during these years RD Station has always been in first place as the most adopted automation tool.
Most adopted Email Marketing tools
The Mailchimp tool, although still the most adopted by the market, has been losing its number of users to RD Station.
Most adopted Landing Page Construction Tools
The proprietary landing page tools have been replaced by outsourced ones. The RD Station platform has been gaining more and more space over the TechTrends editions.
Most Adopted Content Platforms
For the past 3 years, Websites Are Us has been leading the content platform market, with 64.2%.
