From that moment on, it’s time for you to learn how to use the app.
In the upper left corner of the screen you will find the option scene, it is what you will use to make your creations.
After confirming that it is selected, go with the mouse until Add Object, which is on the left side of your screen.
When you see a second window open, you will select the tool that calls Face Tracker and then insert it into your project by clicking insert.
You will notice that the Face Traker will appear in the options Scene, right in the left corner of your page.
Go with the mouse to this tool and right click on it, when you see the options click on Add. Right after that you will select the option Plane.
At the bottom of your screen, on the left side, you will see the option Add Asset, click on it and select Material.
At that moment, you can insert whatever you want in your filter, it can be a phrase or another type of drawing. But for that it is necessary to import the art of the computer. Then click on Add Assetagain, and scroll to Import From Computer.
One tip is to use an image editing application, such as Photoshop, to create the art you want to insert into your Instagram filter, whether written or not.
Once this is done, select Material, click in Texture, in the right corner of the screen and then Choose File. At that point you will see the art that has already been added, choose it.
So, look at the tab Scene and go to Plane, then on Material, on the right side, and link the material added to the art.
To leave the art in the position you want to go to the option Position and change the numbers, leaving the art exactly where you would like it. To change the dimension (size) of the image you can check the Scale and change the numbers so that the art gets bigger or smaller.
Export the filter to Instagram
In the bottom left corner of your screen, you will find an up arrow.
Click on it to export your filter to Instagram.
As soon as all the options on your screen turn green, you will need to confirm the export using the blue button written Export.
Once the export is complete, you will see in the program the option to open Spark AR Hub, which is a Facebook platform that allows you to add new filters to Instagram.
Click on the blue button that says Open Spark Ar Hub and you will be automatically redirected to its page at www.facebook.com/sparkarhub.
After viewing this page, just click on load effect and then the following page will open:
Then just click on the blue button labeled Start and a new page will open:
At this point, you need to select which social network you would like to upload the art created on, as so far, the platform does not accept having the same effect on Facebook and Instagram.
After choosing Instagram, it’s time to rename the filter, mark whether the filter is promoting a brand or not and then press forward.
That done, just add a thumbnail for the created effect and load the file. At this stage, it is important to remember that the thumbnail cannot contain other people’s faces, cannot contain long sentences or words like the filter’s name.
Once you check the acceptance criteria, just finish the submission by clicking on upload and continue.
Thus, the created effect goes to the platform analysis, which aims to ensure that the filter does not violate any of its policies.
The good news is that right after uploading is complete you can preview its effect by clicking on “show on Instagram” and then on “next steps”.
It is also possible to copy this test link and send it to some people to see how your filter looks. Try to remember that until it is approved it will not be possible to publish in Stories with it.
After doing this, it is important to return to Spark AR Hub to place the filter category and upload a video using Instagram stories to the platform.
The maximum time for this video is 15 seconds. At this point you will need the help of a cell phone, after all, the link to record the video is only compatible with smartphones.
As soon as you finish this step, you should plan for the filter to appear on your Instagram as soon as it is approved and you will still need to describe what your filter does and why it is part of the category you selected.
That done, just send your filter for analysis and wait for the platform’s approval, which can take up to 5 business days according to the Spark AR Hub.
You also need to be aware that the platform may request some adjustments to your filter, so it may take longer for it to be approved.
Publish the filter in the stories
Once the analysis is complete, just take advantage of everything you’ve done. The filter will be available in the area that is intended for the purposes.
The icon that will appear in your effect is the one you sent for analysis, which makes it easier for you to find what you are looking for.
So just enter your Instagram stories, record the video or take a picture and post on the social network.
