Did you hear about this news? We released here a while ago that WhatsApp Business was in the testing phase, but now it’s finally come true! The tool promises to revolutionize the way your company communicates with your customer.
This is an attempt by the application to become increasingly present in the corporate world. This new functionality is a kind of extension of the application in the version we already know, but only for corporate accounts.
It is an excellent way for entrepreneurs to separate a professional contact from their personal contact, in addition to allowing some specific functionalities.
Another novelty is that the phone hook icon has now been replaced by the letter “B”, but the strong features of the visual construction of the application remain similar to the version we currently use.
New features of WhatsApp Business
Want to stay on top of what WhatsApp Business has to offer? According to WhatsApp itself, these are the main changes:
You can also use the application in its desktop version, which facilitates the management of your company’s profile on WhatsApp.
You will be listed as a company profile, so all users you contact will know that they are talking to a company. Over time, some companies will also get the verification seal, something that we have talked about here too.
With WhatsApp Business the company will have access to information about the use of the application – very similar to the way it currently works – such as the number of messages that were sent, how many were delivered and even read in your corporate account.
Like every user, a corporate account will also have a profile in the application, the difference is that it will now be possible to add various information specific to your business such as: the location, what is the type of company, brief description, what is the website and email address.
Migrate your conversations
This will be a resource for companies that already use Whatsapp as a customer service tool. You’ll be able to migrate your old account and all of your conversations to the new app.
This is perhaps one of the biggest draws of the new app! Now, there is the possibility to leave automatic messages programmed if they receive any messages after hours.
It is possible to include emojis and all the other editing features that we already know. In addition, it will be possible to schedule the day and time the message will be triggered.
What we know about user selection:
So far, the application download has been released on Google Play for Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States. In the coming weeks more countries will be able to download it, so let’s hope that London will be on this list soon!
We are super excited about this new possibility! And you, what did you think of this new version of Whatsapp? Tell us here in the comments!
