Selling on social media has become commonplace, even though sales cannot end there. When selling on Facebook or Instagram, the normal thing is that the negotiation is done in “word of mouth” – know the story of Alexandra Moraes, who was very successful on Instagram using this model – or that you are taken to a checkout page to finalize a purchase on the seller’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad, for example. This formula has not yet changed, but it is possible to create a store on Facebook through its Fan Page.
This means that you can include your product catalog – whether physical or infoproducts – in a section of your Facebook page, similar to what we see on an ecommerce homepage. That is, you can send images of your products, add a description and the price charged. When deciding to buy a product, the buyer is taken to the checkout page. Facebook is working on ways to be able to complete a purchase directly in the store and it is possible that, soon, the whole process can be done there. So, seize the moment and learn how to create a store on Facebook right now to prepare for this likely change.
