If you don’t have programming knowledge, WordPress is the right platform to create a professional site, at a low cost and easy to manage. If you have a gym or are a personal trainer, know that there are some great ones templates specially developed for those who work in the fitness industry.
I wanted to select the best ones to allow you to go without fail and therefore find a theme that already includes all the features you will need to better manage your business, including registrations and reservations, and to show your customers the available lessons .
Here are the best WordPress themes for a fitness business!
WordPress themes for a fitness business
GymBase is one of the most popular WordPress themes ever for a fitness business. It’s functional, has a nice design, and it’s easy to set up.
This template is particularly suitable for gyms, sports centers or activities that offer their members a large number of different classes. In fact, GymBase allows you to create tables in which to enter the days and times of the lessons, the name of the coach, the description of the activity.
There is also a page template for class descriptions, which can be easily compared by your customers in order to choose the right one for them. Each class can have handy graphics to show the benefits of that type of training.
Instructors can also have a dedicated page, where they can enter their own description.
GymBase also has a nice blog, which you can use to promote your business by doing some content marketing.
As I have already mentioned, this template is really easy to set up. In fact, it has the built-in WP Bakery page builder. Thanks to this tool, you can build your pages by dragging the elements to the point you want. Also included are 15 items specific to your type of business.
If you prefer to start from a pre-set template, choose from the demos available for pages, posts, sliders and widgets. You can then customize them as you wish.
That’s not all: GymBase is compatible with WPML – for those who want to create a multilingual site – and has already integrated over 800 Google fonts.

Symetrio is another very popular template. It too is simple and functional.
It is possible to insert tables with lesson times and their prices and, thanks to the integrated payment system via PayPal, customers can pay directly online.
With Symetrio you have a Google Maps feature that allows you to indicate the routes of a marathon or a race, in which you can also insert placeholders.
There is also a type of page dedicated to trainers, where you can insert images, biography, contact information, links to the relevant classes, etc.
Another interesting feature is the pricing table, which you can use to create pricing tables using just a shortcode.

Of the WordPress themes for fitness activities we’ve seen so far, Gameplan is, without a doubt, the most visually impactful.
Even in terms of functionality, however, nothing is really lacking: Gameplan also uses the Visual Composer, is compatible with WPML and supports Google fonts.
On top of that, it’s compatible with WooCommerce – for those who want to add eCommerce functionality to their site, and with the Event Calendar plugin (both free and PRO version). Even Calendar is the plugin that you can use to integrate a calendar with all scheduled lessons and events on your site.
Gameplan is also Retina ready. This means that it has been developed to be perfectly visible even on the latest generation screens, those that use retina display technology.

Gym – Fitness WordPress
Gym – Fitness WordPress is another very good theme. The design of this template in my opinion is particularly beautiful; in addition, there are so many features.
As in the templates we have already seen, it is possible to create specific pages for the various classes and for the coaches and you can create custom sidebars.
Fitness Sport Gym is also compatible with many other tools: WPML, to make it multilingual; WooCommerce, to add eCommerce features, bbPress, to integrate a forum on your site; Events Calendar, to add a calendar with the times of all classes.
The Revolution Slider plugin is included in the theme.
Additionally, this theme also uses a drag-and-drop composer to create custom page layouts by dragging items to the position you want; without having to know programming languages.

Other themes you can use
If none of the specially developed themes for fitness activities you like them, you can of course use one of the multi-purpose template and customize it as you wish.
Among the multi-purpose themes I would like to point out Enfold and Avada, the ones that I consider the most versatile themes of all.
Among the best WordPress themes for a fitness activity, I also want to point out some free ones.
WV Fitness Gym is a theme suitable both for sites dedicated to a particular fitness activity, and for personal trainers, consultants in the field of wellness, physiotherapy centers or for weight loss. This theme is also available in premium version, with many additional features.
The Fitness Hub theme is also available in free and premium versions and is suitable for fitness centers, gyms and clubs. It is compatible with the Site Origin page builder and includes slider features, social media integrations, advanced options to customize the logo.
In my opinion there are two elements that really cannot be missing on a fitness activity website. These are the testimonials and a calendar where you can view all the available classes.
As for testimonials, I suggest you refer to this guide, where you will find useful information both on why it is important to use them and on how to insert them.
Instead, for the calendar check out this post. You will find references to many useful tools for managing reservations and appointments.
Even for this guide, we have come to the end.
I hope that the WordPress themes for fitness activities that I have selected you like them. If you run a gym, if you are a personal trainer or have, for example, a wellness center, these templates will be for you.
If, on the other hand, you don’t find exactly what you are looking for, I definitely recommend that you choose a multifunctional theme and customize it. In fact, it is always better to choose a reliable and flexible theme, rather than sticking to a very specific theme that we might like at first glance, but turn out to be of low quality.
Which of the proposed themes would best suit the type of business you are involved in?
