How to install WordPress in Hosting

The fields that the installer asks you to fill out are:

  • Name of the site: The name that defines your website (eg: Viajes Umbrella).
  • Select a domain: You must select the domain that you will use in this installation.
  • Route: If the web is going to be installed in another folder that depends on a domain, or you use the temporary url, write the name of the folder.
  • Administrator email: The email of the web administrator.
  • Administator: Username (the one you will use at login).
  • Password: Be sure to use a sturdy (alphanumeric).

If you are going to install WordPress in a folder where there are remains (orphaned loose files or folders) activate the option Overwrite existing files to be able to do it, otherwise the installer if it detects files in the installation destination folder will show you a warning and will not apply the action.

How to delete a Hosting installation

It is possible that after testing an automatic installation of WordPress or this one with WooCommerce already integrated, now you want to eliminate the installation (or installations, if you did several tests) of the Hosting to be able to then proceed to install WordPress with the appropriate domain.

Or there is simply a website, of several that you have installed, that for some reason you are not interested in continuing to keep active and you need to delete it without leaving remains of it on the way.

In these cases, the ideal is that if you have installed a website with the Websites Are Us Applications wizard, uninstall or remove it using the same tool and not manually since you could forget to delete the database or leave installation files along the way, or worse, take another folder from another website, without realizing it.

  1. Access your cPanel, Applications Websites Are Us, option Start.
  2. In Installed Applications (if you have several) locate the one that you are going to eliminate.
  3. Click the right blue button Options.
  4. Now click on the red button Uninstall.
  5. Confirm where it says “Are you sure? Yes, uninstall the application and delete its files. “
