IMPORTANT

– Charitable 2.0.0 is completely rewritten from the ground up, so things will look a bit different than they do on your current site.

This could give you problems if you have done heavy customizations with CSS or if you are overriding templates in a Child Website. We have tried to keep the website as backward compatible as possible.

We’re really sorry if the upgrade gives you problems, but we really think you will love the new Charitable.

You can always go back to version 1.2.x if there is too many problems with your current installation.

– Always take a backup before upgrading: Always take a backup of Website Options and site when upgrading to a major new version!

What it mean:

We don’t support Charitable 1.x any more. That being said, Charitable 1.x won’t be updated (new features, bugs fixed, improvement) any more. If you are OK with your current Charitable 1.x website, you can use it. But without new features and skins from Charitable 2.x. We strongly recommend you to move to Charitable 2.x

There is no easy way to update Charitable 1.x to Charitable 2.x. Basically you should create new store with Charitable 2.x
